SDN : Software Defined Networking

Just to prove that not all spam is utterly useless, I am forced to admit that I followed
one piece I received recently.

This was for a course on Software Defined Networking, which is all the
 rage these days.

Software-defined networking effectively works by creating virtual networks that are
independent from physical networks. This allows control of the network to be separated
from the physical network topology. This is accomplished by adding a layer to the existing
stack. SDNoffers much greater flexibility in configuration than is the case with current
technologies. Imagine not having to rewire to change !
